Dear TRC Member/Prospective Member:

The Tokeneke Road Club would like to invite you to another great year of cycling. We are looking forward to organizing a race oriented club and are asking for your commitment to the team. We understand everyone has very busy schedules so we are asking all members to give their commitment to their choice of one of two flexible goals. By joining the Tokeneke Road Club we are asking you to agree minimally to one of the following:

1. Race in 5 USCF (non-training) races
2. Assist in organizing and running the Tokeneke Classic Road Race

This requirement is only the minimum participation that we would like to see from each member. Our hope is to bring a large number of the team from each category to pre designated races for the 2001 season. We will decide which races the team would like to focus on together at a later date.

This year dues will be $80 for the year 2001 (except undergrad college students and juniors). If the member is able to meet one of the two goals delineated above, we will refund the member $40 at the end of the season. The following summarizes the team dues.

• Undergraduate College Students & Juniors - $30
• All Other Members - $80 ($40 will be refunded if member meets goals)

We should be thankful for Pedal & Pump has offered to sponsor TRC again for the 2001 season. Pedal & Pump will be offering a 20% discount on component groups, parts and accessories and a 10% discount on frames.

If you require maintenance on your bike during the season, please give Pedal & Pump the courtesy of scheduling repairs in advance as the shop will not be able to help you on short notice in order to complete repairs for its regular patrons.

We have two year agreements with all of our other sponsors from the 2000 season that we will be honoring in 2001. As the 2001 season winds down, we would like to hear about your ideas for potential sponsors for the 2002 and 2003 seasons.

We do have an inventory of uniforms from last year. Please indicate any uniform needs you have on the attached form.

We would like to begin team rides out of the shop on either Saturdays or Sundays and would like your input. On the attached rider information form please indicate if you would be able to ride with the team on either Saturday or Sunday and which times would work best for your schedule.

Please accept this as my application to the Tokeneke Road Club for the 2001 season. By signing below, I acknowledge that I have committed to one of the following:

1. I acknowledge, agree and represent that I understand the nature of the bicycling activity (the "Activity") sponsored by TOKENEKE ROAD CLUB, INC. (the "Club") and that I am qualified to participate in such Activity. I further acknowledge that the Activity will be conducted over public roads and facilities open to the public and to which hazards of travelling may be present. I further agree and warrant that if I believe conditions to be unsafe, I will immediately cease participation in the particular Activity.
2. I further understand that (a) the Activity involves substantial risks and danger of serious bodily harm, including permanent disability, paralysis and death ("Risks") (b) these Risks may be caused by my own action, or inaction, the action or inaction of others participating in the Activity, the condition in which the activity takes place or the negligence of the Releasees named below;
3. In consideration of the Club accepting this membership application, I for myself, my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators and assigns, hereby release, absolve and forever discharge the Club, its sponsors, Pedal &Pump Inc, their respective officers, agents and any other associated persons, from and against any fault, blame, warranty, responsibility or liability from any injury, misadventure, harm, loss of damage I suffer or sustain or which occurs to my equipment as a result of participation in any ride, event or other activity of the Club
